About Pomona Olive Oil
Our orchard is approximately 10 acres and has roughly 1500 trees. We have 8 varieties of olives. Arbequina, Kalamata, Taggiasca, and for the Tuscan blend there is Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino, and Maurino. We also have a few Sevillano trees we use the olives for table olives.
Fun Fact: The oldest known olive grove is over 5000 years old!!!
Our Story
At Pomona Olive Oil Co., we let the trees speak for themselves through the flavor and quality of the olive oil they produce. Nestled in the Jerusalem Valley of Southern Lake County, California, our estate-grown olives thrive in sun-drenched groves, nurtured by the rich volcanic soils and serene landscapes of this unique region.
Our name honors Pomona, our beloved German Shepherd dog who was named after the Roman goddess of orchards and fruiting trees. Using sustainable methods and artisanal practices in partnership with our trusted mill, we bring the taste of the Jerusalem Valley straight to your table.
